What if the weather requires us to reschedule?
What if I get sick?
Sometimes this is the unfortunate reality! The weather is out of our control. I keep a close eye on the weather and never want to get my clients into a situation where weather sneaks up on us. In photography, clouds can be our friend! Rain and storms are a different story. Rest assured, if weather impacts our ability to hold your session, we will work together to find a new time.
Similarly, sickness is out of our control. All I ask is that you notify me as soon as you’re able to, and we will work together to find a new time for your session.
Do I have to purchase my favorite photos? How many do I get?
It is important to me to be very upfront and clear about what you’re paying for. When you book a session with me, your session fee includes a downloadable digital gallery. You have print rights for every photo in that gallery! Additional fees may apply for situations such as special editing requests and marketing use.

Absolutely! I work with many clients who want studio sessions! This is an especially good and fun option during our cold and wintery months in Minnesota. While I do not have my own studio space, I partner with photographers who do and rent space on an as-needed basis. Studio fees typically range from $50-$75, which would be added to the session fee.
The best advice I feel I can offer about clothing is this: be YOURSELF! And, be comfortable! Oftentimes being in front of the camera can be uncomfortable, so you don’t want your choice of clothing to add to that feeling in any way. You want to look at these photos and really see YOU. Don’t try to be someone else! As for color, pattern, texture, etc., we can discuss this depending on what type of session you have, what time of year it is, and where we will be shooting. For families, I always love to encourage parents to let kids have a say in their outfits. This is an easy first step to getting them excited for family photos!
50% of your session fee is due upon booking to hold your date. That acts as your deposit. This deposit is refundable up to 30 days before your session. The deposit will not be refunded if you choose to cancel within that 30-day period.
